Respite Provider

About the Role

Respite Providers give families a much-needed break by caring for children or youth with behavioral health challenges in a safe, supportive environment. You’ll engage children in positive activities, help them develop social skills, and provide relief for families while ensuring each child feels safe and supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and care for children and youth.
• Engage children in structured and recreational activities.
• Offer a safe and positive environment during respite hours.
• Support the development of social, communication, and daily living skills.
• Maintain progress notes and complete required documentation.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children or youth preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Compassion, patience, and reliability are a must.
• Must complete all required clearances and trainings.
